A seaside long weekend

Coastal vows, sea air, questionable dancing, and a Devon weekend with room to wander.

Think sea air, good food, great music, questionable dancing, lazy mornings and a few coastal adventures along the way.

Whether you're joining us for the whole weekend or just the big day, we're so glad you'll be part of it. Come for the celebrations, stay for the company, and enjoy the weekend your way.

Schedule

Track 01

Friday 13 August

Suitcases & Spritzes 🍹

Poolside loungers and fountain at Watermouth Cove

Arrive anytime from 3pm onwards on Friday and join us poolside. Unpack your bags, grab a drink, take a dip and settle into the slower pace of the North Devon coast. 🍹

Old friends, new faces, good conversation and a chance to properly unwind before the big day. If you're hungry, you can order a stone-baked pizza from the Pizza Stove, then settle in for an easy afternoon and evening together. There'll be poolside DJ sets from family and friends to warm us up for a weekend of great music.

Track 02

Saturday 14 August

DO I?! 💍

Ceremony at 12pm

Wedding ceremony pavilion overlooking the sea at Watermouth Cove

The main event! Ceremony, confetti, dinner, speeches, questionable dance moves, a few happy tears, plenty of laughter, and dancing, dancing... more dancing. One big celebration with all our favourite people.

We've got a great line-up of DJs playing throughout the evening, including a special set from the groom.

Just joining us for the evening?

Come along from 5pm for drinks, good company and plenty of dancing later on! You're welcome to camp on-site and enjoy Sunday with us too. Head over to our Accommodation section for more details.

Track 03

Sunday 15 August

Sore Heads & Sea Air 🌊

The coast and beach at Watermouth Cove

If you're sticking around on Sunday, the day is ours to enjoy together. Think of it as a relaxed wedding after-party, with the pool and bar open, food to share, games to play and the beach right on our doorstep.

Do as much or as little as you like. Take a dip, head to the beach, brave a kayak or paddleboard, or simply settle in for a drink and a chat. No formal plans, just more time with our favourite people and plenty of stories from the day before.

Track 04

Monday 16 August

Until Next Time 🥲

A final view across the sea to the North Devon coastline

For those gracing us with their presence throughout the whole weekend, Monday will be a gentle ending, with time for one last coffee, a final look out to sea and a few proper goodbyes before everyone begins the journey home.

We already know how much it will mean to have our favourite people sharing this little corner of Devon, and we are incredibly grateful that you're making the journey to celebrate with us.

Parking is available on-site, including spaces near the accommodation. Just pop the postcode into your sat nav and follow the signs.

Get directions on Google Maps

By train

Barnstaple is the nearest railway station, with connections via Exeter St Davids.

From Barnstaple, you can take a taxi towards Watermouth Cove, arrange a lift share with other guests, or catch the Stagecoach 301 bus towards Ilfracombe and Combe Martin.

The bus stops near Watermouth Castle, although you'll need to check the onward walking route to the wedding venue.

We'd recommend arranging taxis or lift shares in advance, particularly if you're travelling with luggage.

By air

Flying in for the celebrations? Exeter and Bristol are the two airports we'd suggest looking at.

From either airport, hiring a car is likely to be the easiest option. Alternatively, you can use public transport towards Exeter and Barnstaple, then arrange the final leg by taxi or lift share.

Staying Nearby

Fancy doing your own thing? Absolutely! North Devon is full of lovely places to stay, from cosy countryside cottages and little coastal B&Bs to seaside hotels, lodges and glamping spots.

For somewhere close to the celebrations, we'd recommend starting with Watermouth, Berrynarbor and Combe Martin. Pretty villages, coastal views, country pubs and easy access to the venue.

If you're making a little holiday of it, Croyde and Woolacombe are well worth a look too, with beautiful beaches, surf spots, independent cafes and plenty of places to explore. They're a little further away, so just bear the journey to and from the wedding in mind.

Ilfracombe also offers a wider choice of accommodation, with its harbour, restaurants and local amenities.

We've included a few handy links to help you find somewhere that suits you.

August is a popular time to visit North Devon, so we'd recommend booking sooner rather than later!

Lift Shares & Getting Around

If you're travelling without a car, don't worry! Closer to the big weekend, we'll do our best to help connect guests travelling from similar directions.

For those staying off-site, we'd recommend arranging taxis in advance, particularly for the journey home after the celebrations.

North Devon is wonderfully tucked away, but taxis can be a little harder to come by during busy summer weekends!

Making a Longer Trip of It?

If you're planning to stay a little longer and explore more of North Devon, there's plenty beyond Watermouth Cove.

Explore the sweeping beaches around Croyde and Woolacombe, the wild landscapes of Exmoor, woodland walks around the River Barle, or simply discover a good country pub somewhere along the way.

A few handy places to start:

And, of course, there's absolutely no expectation to do anything at all. A lounger and a bit of sea air are equally great options.
